The bed-load flume can be used to conductexperiments of bed load sediment transport, including non-uniform sediment transport, sand wave generation, propagation of turbidity current, erosion and deposition near hydraulic structures, such as piers, wharfs,harbors, and breakwater.

The flume is 16m long, 0.5m wide, 0.5m high withvariable slope up to2% (accuracyless than 0.1mm), and the maximum test water depth is 0.4m, flow rate is 120L/s with an accuracyof less than 0.02m/s.
